PHP Developer (Laravel / CodeIgniter / WordPress)

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented PHP Developer with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in web application development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Laravel, CodeIgniter, and WordPress, along with a solid understanding of MySQL databases, RESTful APIs, MVC architecture, and front-end integration. This role is perfect for developers who enjoy building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain dynamic web applications using PHP frameworks (Laravel & CodeIgniter)
• Customize, enhance, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins
• Design, optimize, and manage MySQL databases, ensuring high performance and data integrity
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party APIs
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers to integrate UI components with backend logic
• Debug, troubleshoot, refactor, and optimize existing codebases
• Follow best coding practices, participate in code reviews, and ensure clean, maintainable code
• Maintain proper documentation and manage code using Git version control
• Ensure website security, performance, scalability, and responsiveness across all devices

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong command of PHP with solid understanding of OOP principles and MVC architecture
• Hands-on experience with Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks
• Proficiency in WordPress theme customization and plugin development
• Strong knowledge of MySQL database design, queries, joins, indexing, and optimization
• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and AJAX-based front-end communication
• Familiarity with Git / GitHub / Bitbucket version control systems
• Experience working in XAMPP / LAMP / WAMP environments
• Understanding of Composer, NPM, and PHP package management
• Basic knowledge of server configuration (Apache / Nginx) and deployment processes

Additional Skills (Preferred but Not Mandatory)

• Knowledge of React.js or Vue.js for front-end integration
• Experience with cPanel, WHM, VPS hosting, and deployment
• Understanding of SEO-friendly coding practices and performance optimization
• Exposure to API integrations such as payment gateways, social logins, or CRM systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 1+ year of professional PHP development experience
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
