Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled WordPress / Shopify Engineer to design, develop, customize, and maintain high-quality websites and eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with WordPress and Shopify platforms, including theme and plugin development, Liquid templating, and API integrations.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites
– Build and customize WordPress themes and plugins
– Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid
– Integrate third-party services and tools using APIs
– Optimize websites for performance, security, and scalability
– Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
– Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing maintenance and support
– Collaborate with designers, marketers, and backend teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
– Strong experience with WordPress development (themes and plugins)
– Hands-on experience with Shopify theme development and Liquid
– Experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs
– Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
– Experience with WooCommerce and Shopify apps
– Familiarity with Git and version control systems
– Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
– Experience with custom Shopify apps
– Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, etc.)
– Experience with website performance optimization and SEO best practices
– Knowledge of hosting environments and deployment workflows – Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
